Synopsis

​

It’s summer 2026 and the weather is beautiful in the city of Cleveland. The sun is shining brightly as the
new year is halfway over. Owner, Joseph Weathers of the Emmy movie theater café is opening for the
customers that just want a cup of Joe to start their morning and read the daily news, new book releases
or they listen to their favorite podcast from their cell phones or computers. Joseph is in his early 40’s,
brown skin tone, masculine. He was raised in a working-class environment, surrounded by strong
opinions, family interference and generational toxicity.

 

Joseph accepts an offer from FRANKY to come
visit The Cave Man Club and talk with like minded men trying to date in a Gen Z world, while taking a real
look in the mirror at himself for once. Joseph not only accepts the invitation but begins to lead the
groups weekly sessions after Franky decides to move out of state. Joseph notices Mary Winters,
widowed, grandmother to her daughters US Army soldier son B.J. that has Tourette syndrome, group
leader for the Brave Bold Women Group.

 

(BBW) Mary is in her early 40’s, brown skin tone, physically fit.
She was raised in a working-class environment, surrounded by a large loving family. After being married
straight out of high school to her high school sweetheart, it was difficult to date again. Often, Mary
would listen to the women in the group discuss how dating in the Gen Z, YouTube, Instagram, Tik-Tok,
dating apps world has become difficult when the only world she’s known was loyalty, laughter and love.
